Therapy backed by decades of research
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the most widely researched and recommended therapy for children with autism. It works by breaking down skills into small, teachable steps and using positive reinforcement to help your child build communication, social interaction, daily living, and learning skills.
What makes ABA effective isn't a rigid program — it's a flexible framework that adapts to each child. At Achieve Center, every plan starts with your child's strengths and grows from there.
Skills that grow with your child
Every plan is personalized, but ABA therapy commonly helps children with autism build skills in these areas:
Communication
Building expressive language, learning to make requests, and developing meaningful back-and-forth conversation.
Social Skills
Learning to play with peers, share, take turns, read social cues, and form connections.
Daily Living
Self-care routines like dressing, hygiene, eating, and following everyday instructions.
Emotional Regulation
Recognizing emotions, managing big feelings, and using coping strategies.
Learning Readiness
Skills like sitting, attending, following directions, and engaging with educational materials.
Reducing Challenging Behaviors
Understanding the function of difficult behaviors and replacing them with positive alternatives.
Built around your child — not the other way around
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all ABA. Every child on the autism spectrum is different — different strengths, different interests, different needs. Our therapy plans reflect that.
Strengths-Based
We build on what your child loves and is naturally good at.
Play-Centered
Sessions feel like play because engagement drives learning.
Family-Centered
Parents are partners. We coach you so progress carries into daily life.

"We are so grateful to be working with Achieve! Chani is truly amazing — kind, patient, and so dedicated. We feel incredibly supported by our team, especially BCBA Rivka and Roman. Roman really takes the time to connect with my son through his love of Pokémon and Star Wars, and that genuine connection has made such a meaningful impact. It's rare to find a team that not only understands your child but celebrates who they are."
Questions parents ask us about ABA for autism
Most insurance plans require a formal autism diagnosis to cover ABA. We can help connect you with diagnostic resources if you're still in that process.
Early intervention is highly effective — children as young as 18–24 months can benefit from ABA therapy. The earlier we start, the more impact we can make.
It varies by child. Some children benefit from focused 10–15 hour weeks; others need more comprehensive 25–40 hour programs. Your BCBA will recommend what's right based on your child's needs.
The goal of ABA isn't lifelong therapy — it's helping your child build the skills they need to thrive independently. Many children "graduate" from ABA as they reach their goals.
ABA is the most researched therapy for autism, but it's not the only option. We'll have an honest conversation with you about whether it's the right fit and what to expect.

Every milestone matters.
Take the first step toward your child's next breakthrough. We'd be honored to walk this journey with you.
