Step by step

Three steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    Intake

    1–2 days

What happens: We learn about your child, verify your insurance benefits at no cost, and answer every question you have. No pressure, no commitment.

What you'll need: Basic contact info, your child's age, your insurance provider.

  2. 02

    Treatment Plan

    2–4 weeks

What happens: Once insurance authorizes services, a certified BCBA conducts a comprehensive assessment of your child's strengths and goals. They build a personalized treatment plan around what your child needs most.

What you'll experience: An in-depth conversation with the BCBA, observation sessions, and a written plan you can review.

  3. 03

    Implementation

    ongoing

What happens: Therapy begins. Your child works with their dedicated provider in sessions designed to be engaging, supportive, and effective. We monitor progress in real time and adjust the plan as your child grows.

What you'll see: Regular updates, family training sessions, and milestone moments worth celebrating.

An honest answer

What about the wait?

Many ABA waitlists run 6–12 months. We work hard to do better. Most families begin treatment within a few weeks of their first call, depending on insurance authorization timelines. We move as quickly as the process allows, and we'll keep you informed every step of the way.

ABA therapy is likely covered by your insurance

Michigan law requires most major insurance plans to cover ABA therapy for children with an autism diagnosis. We currently accept Aetna, Priority Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield — and we verify your benefits at no cost.

"We are so grateful to be working with Achieve! Chani is truly amazing — kind, patient, and so dedicated. We feel incredibly supported by our team, especially BCBA Rivka and Roman. Roman really takes the time to connect with my son through his love of Pokémon and Star Wars, and that genuine connection has made such a meaningful impact. It's rare to find a team that not only understands your child but celebrates who they are."
